homemade mixtures to repel deer

by Stella Bock
(cranford, nj)

Hello,
I started have deer problems about 2 years ago. I'd never had them before then. I live near a wooded area, but never have I actually seen the deer in action in my yard. I know my plants were eaten by deer, because the plants were eaten too high off the ground for the many rabbits we have around this area, my hostas eaten down, even my impatience was nibbled on. Two questions: Do deer eat vinca, which is similar to impatience, and are there any homemade mixtures I can make myself to repel deer. I'd appreciate any help you could give me. They're beautiful creatures, but my flowers are beautiful too!
