Deer do not like, but neither do some of the plants

I have used Milorganite (about 12 bags this spring) but I have to say that my plants burned terribly, especially things like roses if I left any of the chunks on the leaves. My wife found it to be much too strong in her vegetable garden. Everything looked burned.

I found it best to apply as a light dusting mixed with another fertilizer, such as Miracle-Gro, or another fertilizer with slow-release nitrogen.

As to deer, they do not like the smell. However, neither does my youngest son.
